Associate Director, Financial Operations

About the role

The Associate Director – Financial Operations will lead consolidated financial reporting and treasury activities for World Vision in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Working closely with field finance teams, Global Treasury, and Shared Services, you will ensure accurate financial statements, compliance with standards, and strategic alignment with organizational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated monthly and statutory annual financial reports.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations, general ledger, and inter‑company transactions.
• Oversee treasury functions, including liquidity management, cash‑target limits, and bank signatory administration.
• Coordinate accounting code setup, system access rights, and software licensing.
• Collaborate with Shared Services on supplier payments and resolve unreconciled items.
• Design and implement integrated financial systems and controls across field, national, and global finance functions.

Required profile

• First degree in Accounting or Finance with a professional qualification (ACCA, CIS, or CIMA).
• Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration is an advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of management experience in an NGO environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, financial forecasting, cash management, and mobile‑money management.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
