Dispatch – Shift CAS & Fatigue Technician

About the role

The Dispatch – Shift CAS & Fatigue Technician will work under the supervision of the Dispatch Shift Supervisor to monitor, configure and maintain mining safety technology systems in the dispatch environment. This position ensures safe and efficient mining operations by providing real‑time safety intelligence and supporting operational decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor real‑time alerts from Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS), Operator Awareness Systems (OAS) and fatigue monitoring tools.
• Analyze system data to identify trends, abnormal patterns and potential safety risks, escalating issues as needed.
• Support dispatch operators by providing timely safety information and recommendations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CCTV and other digital safety technologies.
• Prepare operational reports and safety performance summaries for management.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mining Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, Data Systems or a related technical discipline.
• At least three years of experience in the mining industry with a solid understanding of health & safety standards.
• Experience working with mining safety technologies (CAS, OAS, fatigue monitoring, CCTV) or in a dispatch/control‑room environment is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of digital mining safety technologies (CAS, OAS, fatigue monitoring systems, CCTV).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint.
• Ability to monitor and interpret real‑time operational data and identify safety risks.
• Analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective radio communication with field operators.
