Ebola Response Coordinator – Public Health / IPC / Clinical Management

About the role

Samaritans Purse is seeking experienced medical professionals to join a 90‑day Ebola response mission in Bunia, Ituri Province, DRC. Coordinators will provide leadership and operational oversight for Ebola Treatment Centers, ensuring high‑quality patient care and effective partnership communication.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of the assigned function (Public Health, Infection Prevention & Control, or Clinical Case Management).
• Collect, analyse and report clinical and community health data to guide rapid response actions.
• Monitor staff compliance with SOPs, provide immediate feedback, and support continuous training.
• Serve as liaison between field teams and International Headquarters leadership.
• Ensure adherence to Ministry of Health, WHO and Samaritans Purse protocols.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of international experience in outbreak response, IPC or public‑health emergency operations.
• Strong personal commitment to the mission’s Christian values.
• Advanced degree relevant to the specific role (e.g., MPH, MD, PhD, or related).

Required skills

• Epidemiology and public‑health data analysis.
• Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) best practices.
• Clinical case‑management workflow implementation.
• Familiarity with WHO and national Ebola response guidelines.
