Light Vehicle Driver

About the role

Mutanda Mining is seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Driver to support its mining operations in the Lualaba province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the Transport Team Supervisor, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and cargo to designated locations within the mining site and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Operate light vehicles for passenger and package transport on national roads and within built‑up areas.
• Perform routine checks and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure compliance with waste and pollutant management procedures.
• Document trips and vehicle usage in accordance with company record‑keeping standards.
• Support environmental compliance by following Glencore and MUMI SARL environmental policies.

Required profile

• At least a Brevet d'Aptitude Professionnelle en conduite automobile.
• Valid Category A, B, and C driving licences (or equivalent).
• Minimum two years of experience driving light vehicles in similar settings.
• Good command of French; English is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Highway Code and defensive driving techniques.
