Monitoring and Evaluation Officer – Perennial Malaria Chemoprevention

About the role

PATH is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to lead the M&E component of a two‑year Perennial Malaria Chemoprevention (PMC) project in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role focuses on developing data collection tools, managing data systems, and ensuring high‑quality reporting to support malaria elimination efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the project’s M&E plan, including design of data collection tools and support for DHIS2 tracker and other applications.
• Develop and maintain a data system for storing project data assets, ensuring data security and proper management.
• Generate routine reports, dashboards, and visualizations for internal monitoring and continuous quality improvement.
• Document learnings, prepare technical materials, and disseminate findings with partners and the Ministry of Health.
• Lead equity and gender‑centered benchmarks within project operations.
• Monitor M&E activity timelines, troubleshoot data collection issues, and liaise with provincial coordinators and MOH HMIS teams.

Required profile

• Experience in monitoring and evaluation for health programs, preferably in malaria or infectious disease contexts.
• Strong understanding of data management, security, and sharing practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies, implementing partners, and donors.
• Willingness to travel to health zones and facilities as needed.
