Strategic Learning Lead – Resilience Food Security

About the role

Mercy Corps is seeking a Strategic Learning Lead to design, implement and manage learning initiatives for a five‑year USAID Resilience Food Security Activity in Eastern DRC. The role focuses on improving food security outcomes in South Kivu through evidence‑based programming and adaptive management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine strategic learning initiatives, integrating them into annual work plans and program design.
• Facilitate Collaborative Learning and Adaptation (CLA) workshops, stakeholder mapping, and regular program reviews to capture lessons and adjust theories of change.
• Lead the creation and maintenance of knowledge‑management systems, produce learning briefs, case studies and technical reports.
• Support capacity building for staff and partners in CLA practice, data analysis and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with M&E, research, and partner teams to ensure adaptive management and alignment with USAID priorities.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills with experience in producing high‑quality learning products.
• Demonstrated ability to design participant‑based surveys and manage data‑driven decision‑making.
• Experience facilitating learning events and building adaptive management cultures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including local actors, donors and government agencies.
