Advisor – Load & Haul Services

About the role

The Advisor – Load & Haul Services will provide specialised technical expertise for the maintenance of underground loading and transport equipment. Reporting to the Superintendent of Underground Mobile Equipment Maintenance, the role supports planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and return‑to‑service activities to improve equipment availability and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for maintenance interventions on loaders and underground trucks, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards.
• Support planned maintenance operations, including inspections, servicing and interventions according to approved plans.
• Assist with complex diagnostics, fault analysis and guide maintenance teams through repairs.
• Analyse recurring failures, study downtime and component condition to drive reliability improvements.
• Coordinate intervention planning, identifying parts, tools, manpower and equipment access needs.
• Document all work orders, inspections, defects and repairs in SAP and collaborate with operations, planning, reliability, HSE and supply‑chain functions.

Required profile

• Degree or licence in mechanical, electrical or heavy‑equipment engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least ten (10) years of experience maintaining underground mobile mining or heavy industrial equipment.
• Proven experience in planned maintenance, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and major repairs.
• Experience with SAP or a computerized maintenance management system.
• Ability to supervise, coach and develop national maintenance staff.
