About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Logistics Assistant (Roster) on a fixed‑term basis to support its supply chain operations across multiple locations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role focuses on implementing standardized logistics and procurement procedures to ensure timely delivery of goods and services for humanitarian programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and monitor WFP logistics and procurement standards for all assistance modalities.
• Interpret and adapt standard operating procedures to local contexts.
• Coordinate the movement, storage, and distribution of food, non‑food items, and services.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and procurement actions.
• Support the logistics team in reporting, documentation, and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or procurement, preferably in a humanitarian setting.
• Ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in French and English.
