Director – Head of Marketing (DRC)

About the role

Visa is seeking a Director to lead its Marketing function in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reporting to the Head of Marketing for Sub‑Saharan Africa, you will shape and execute the country’s marketing strategy, aligning initiatives with Visa’s business objectives and growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan for the DRC, covering both physical and card‑not‑present channels.
• Oversee local Visa marketing teams and agency partners to drive revenue, transaction volume, market‑share growth, and merchant acceptance.
• Lead key initiatives such as payment‑volume campaigns, cross‑border transaction promotion, and sponsorship programs, with a focus on premium and cross‑border platforms.
• Manage country‑level marketing investments, assess business cases, prioritize projects, and ensure alignment with profit and revenue goals.
• Deliver value‑added services through Value‑in‑Kind marketing and measure results against KPIs, including MROI.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders (sales, product, acceptance, global marketing) and external partners (issuers, merchants).

Required profile

• Proven senior marketing leadership experience, preferably within payments or financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage agency relationships, and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving revenue‑generating marketing programs.
