Finance Manager – Kinshasa, DRC

About the role

The Finance Manager will oversee financial stewardship, accountability and risk management for the Country Program in Kinshasa. The role ensures compliance with CRS policies, donor regulations and local laws while supporting high‑quality programs for vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage financial processes in line with policies, GAAP and local regulations.
• Provide proactive financial advice and support throughout the project cycle, from design to close‑out.
• Lead budget development, monitoring and reporting for annual program plans and project budgets.
• Ensure accuracy of accounting information, maintain audit‑ready documentation and oversee financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare financial analyses, forecasts and risk assessments to inform decision‑making.
• Manage and develop the finance team, including coaching, performance management and staff well‑being.
• Assess and strengthen the financial capacity of sub‑recipients, and lead the resolution of audit findings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration (or equivalent professional qualification such as CPA/ACCA).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in finance management, budgeting and accounting.
• Proven experience with financial reporting, audit processes and capacity‑building for partners.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, donor regulations and local financial legislation.
