IT Support Officer

About the role

Kibali Gold Mine is looking for an experienced IT Support Officer to join the ARK Project expansion feasibility study. The role provides day‑to‑day technical assistance to project staff, ensuring reliable IT services, equipment, connectivity and data support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑ and second‑level support to employees, consultants, contractors and visiting specialists.
• Log, prioritize, escalate and resolve service‑desk tickets within agreed SLAs.
• Set up, maintain and support desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, printers and meeting‑room equipment.
• Manage IT asset issuance, tracking, storage and recovery in line with company procedures.
• Support business applications such as Element, SAP, Microsoft Office, WebEx, SharePoint and other collaboration platforms.
• Provide user‑access services: account creation, permission changes, password resets and troubleshooting.
• Assist with secure storage, backup and transfer of project‑related electronic data.
• Ensure connectivity for office, remote users, workshops and video‑conferencing.
• Promote compliance with IT, information‑security and data‑protection policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Networking, Computer Science or related field.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft or Cisco are a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence preferred for site or field support.
• Minimum 3 years of IT support experience, preferably in a mining, construction or remote‑site environment.
