Project Director

About the role

The Project Director is a newly created Group‑level position responsible for leading Gocongo’s entire project development and execution cycle, from concept through commissioning and operational handover. This senior role sits at the intersection of engineering, commercial judgment, and executive decision‑making, driving the Group’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Conceive and assess new capital projects aligned with the Group’s expansion strategy across farms, processing plants, and infrastructure.
• Lead feasibility studies, technical due diligence, and the preparation of investment cases.
• Negotiate technical and commercial terms with EPC contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.
• Develop detailed project execution plans, Gantt charts, and supervise construction and installation across multiple sites.
• Oversee commissioning, performance testing, and ensure smooth operational handover with complete documentation and training.
• Manage contractor performance, change orders, claims, and schedule adherence while acting as the primary interface with all project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading large‑scale engineering or construction projects from inception to handover.
• Advanced decision‑making authority and proven ability to work with executive teams, finance, legal, and operations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including coordination with EPC contractors, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
