Proposal Coordinator

About the role

The Proposal Coordinator will support the Head of Business Development and country programme staff in strengthening Save the Children’s funding base and partnerships. Working across programmes, operations, monitoring and evaluation, and finance, the role ensures high‑quality proposals are delivered on time and are fully responsive to donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end proposal development process, including kick‑off meetings and timeline creation.
• Coordinate narrative writing and log‑frame development with technical leads and other functions.
• Draft standard proposal sections such as capability statements, country context, and programme experience.
• Integrate child safeguarding, PSEAH, and broader safeguarding considerations into proposal design, including risk analysis and mitigation measures.
• Provide editing, quality assurance, and final review of all submissions to ensure competitiveness.
• Support the Head of Business Development in capture planning and updating country funding strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating proposal development in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Ability to work under tight donor deadlines and adjust working hours as needed.
• Strong collaboration skills with senior management, technical experts, finance, and operations teams.
• Understanding of safeguarding standards and ability to embed them in proposals.

Required skills

• Excellent written communication and editing abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of log‑frame methodology and monitoring & evaluation processes.
• Familiarity with donor requirements and funding cycles.
