Proposal Coordinator

About the role

The Proposal Coordinator will support the Head of Business Development and country programme staff to strengthen Save the Children’s funding base and partnerships. Working across programmes, operations, monitoring & evaluation and finance, the role ensures that proposals are responsive, competitive and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the full proposal development process, including kick‑off meetings, timelines and follow‑up with all functional teams.
• Draft and edit standard proposal sections such as capability statements, country context and programme experience.
• Work with technical leads to develop narratives and logframes that meet donor requirements.
• Integrate child safeguarding, PSEAH and broader risk‑mitigation measures into proposal design and budgets.
• Support the Head of Business Development in maintaining country funding strategies and donor engagement plans.
• Provide quality assurance and final editing of all submissions to ensure compliance with calls for proposals.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating proposal development in an international development or humanitarian setting.
• Strong ability to work with cross‑functional teams and meet tight donor deadlines.
• Understanding of child safeguarding, PSEAH and donor safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent written communication and editing skills.
