About the role

Wave is expanding its operations across Africa and needs a mission‑driven Senior Recruiter to lead hiring in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Based in Kinshasa, you will shape talent acquisition for a fast‑growing fintech company and help build the continent’s first cashless ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle recruitment for a wide range of roles, with a strong focus on leadership and business‑critical hiring in the DRC.
• Design and execute sourcing strategies tailored to the Congolese market while contributing to regional pipelines.
• Partner closely with hiring managers to define hiring strategies and deliver high‑quality hires quickly.
• Provide an exceptional candidate experience and act as an ambassador of Wave’s mission and culture.
• Continuously improve recruiting processes, identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.
• Use data and analytics to track pipeline health, optimise hiring funnels and inform decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate data in the Greenhouse ATS for reporting and insights.
• Drive inclusive hiring strategies to build diverse, high‑performing teams.
• Mentor junior recruiters and contribute to a collaborative talent function.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior‑level recruitment, preferably in fast‑growing or fintech environments.
• Strong understanding of the DRC talent market and ability to build effective sourcing channels.
• Data‑driven mindset with a track record of improving recruiting metrics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel within the region as needed.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Greenhouse ATS.
• Proficiency in recruitment analytics and data‑driven decision making.
