Supply Chain Officer – UN Migration Agency

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to support its operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Senior Resources Management Officer, the incumbent will coordinate supply chain activities to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services that meet quality standards and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for supply chain operations in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct logistics capacity assessments and market research to keep decision‑makers informed of local market trends.
• Oversee procurement processes, contract management, and vendor performance to guarantee optimal value for money.
• Coordinate with the Regional Office and the Supply Chain Division at Headquarters to align country‑level activities with global policies.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage warehousing, and ensure compliance with IOM’s procurement and logistics standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply chain or logistics management, preferably within an international or humanitarian context.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess market conditions and logistics capacity.
• Excellent coordination skills to work with multiple units, partners, and external suppliers.
• Ability to operate under the supervision of senior mission leadership while maintaining accountability for results.
