Warehouse Operator

About the role

The Warehouse Operator will support Sandvik DRC's mining operations by handling all warehouse activities from receipt to dispatch. The role ensures materials are stored, picked, packed and shipped accurately while maintaining a safe and organized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unload and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
• Store materials in designated locations, keeping inventory organized and adhering to storage procedures.
• Pick and pack orders according to picking lists, ensuring correct items, quantities and proper packaging.
• Prepare shipments, including labeling, documentation and loading onto transport vehicles.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment and report any hazards.

Required profile

• Congolese (DRC) citizen with a Certificate/Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Proven experience in a similar logistics or warehouse role and customer‑service background.
• Good understanding of customer deliverables and impact of quality issues.
• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Computer literacy; ERP knowledge is advantageous.
