Compensation & Benefit Manager

About the role

The Compensation & Benefit Manager reports directly to the Chief People Officer and is responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing the company’s compensation and benefits policies. This role ensures that pay packages remain fair, competitive, and compliant with local regulations while supporting the organization’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for managers on compensation and benefits matters, providing guidance and support.
• Participate in salary and labor market surveys to benchmark pay rates and benefits.
• Analyze salary data and market trends to recommend adjustments to compensation policies.
• Develop and maintain competitive pay and benefit schemes to attract and retain top talent.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and conduct regular pay‑equity audits.
• Collaborate with Recruitment to keep job descriptions current and evaluate position classifications.
• Lead labor cost governance, including cost monitoring, budget vs. actual analysis, and forecasting.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and Operations to align workforce structures with productivity targets.
• Create and maintain compensation dashboards and KPIs for cost visibility and decision‑making.
• Support workforce planning through compensation analytics and cost modelling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum seven years of experience in compensation and benefits, preferably within HR.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Experience in the mining industry is an advantage.
