Information Coordination Mentor

About the role

The Information Coordination Mentor will support the Situational Awareness Team operating in Upemba National Park, DRC. The role focuses on turning dispersed field observations into structured, actionable intelligence to improve wildlife crime prevention and park management.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, aggregate, and secure information from patrols, aerial surveys, biomonitoring and community scouts.
• Maintain and populate the investigation database, ensuring data quality and security.
• Mentor and build the capacity of investigators and analysts to respond to Priority Information Requests.
• Train the Situational Awareness Team on data collection techniques and analytical methods.
• Develop daily work plans, oversee information flow, and produce standard analytical reports.
• Implement and manage software tools that enhance the team’s analytical capacity.

Required profile

• Experience in data coordination, analysis, or related fields within conservation or environmental contexts.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
• Strong understanding of wildlife crime dynamics and situational crime prevention concepts.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
