Nutrition Officer (Community & IYCF)

About the role

The Nutrition Officer (Community & IYCF) will support UNICEF’s nutrition programmes in the Democratic Republic of Congo, focusing on community‑based interventions and Infant and Young Child Feeding. The role spans the full programme cycle, from planning and design to implementation, monitoring and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and planning of nutrition strategies and action plans.
• Provide technical and operational support for community nutrition and IYCF activities.
• Monitor programme performance, collect and analyse data, and prepare progress reports.
• Coordinate with partners, government agencies and other stakeholders to strengthen nutrition interventions.
• Contribute to knowledge management, innovation and capacity‑building initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in nutrition, public health or a related field.
• Experience in community‑based nutrition programmes and IYCF interventions.
• Proven ability to work in multi‑stakeholder environments and to produce high‑quality reports.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
