Operations Permanent Control

About the role

The Operations Permanent Control (OPC) role is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Operational Risk and Permanent Control Framework within an assigned domain and Operational Entity. The position works closely with stakeholders across the Risk Control Services (RCS) function to ensure risks are identified, mitigated, and monitored in line with group procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess material operational risks and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are evaluated.
• Implement, adapt, and communicate group risk and control procedures locally, ensuring they are validated, stored, and updated.
• Contribute to Central Control Libraries and Local Control Plans, execute controls, and analyse results.
• Collect, record, and analyse incidents (potential, historical, external) and coordinate corrective action plans.
• Lead the creation, assessment, and quantification of potential incidents with first‑line defence teams.
• Follow up on audit and regulatory findings, coordinate implementation of recommendations, and ensure timely closure.
• Prepare periodic and ad‑hoc reports for management and support the annual attestation process.
• Promote staff awareness of operational risk and permanent control concepts.

Required profile

• Experience in operational risk management or permanent control within a financial or similar environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate risk assessments, incidents, and control results.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional stakeholders and to communicate procedures effectively.
• Familiarity with regulatory and internal audit processes.
