Risk and Compliance Officer – Service Contract (SC9)

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Risk and Compliance Officer to support the establishment of risk management activities and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. This position will contribute to the effectiveness of operations and the optimal use of WFP resources in Kinshasa.

Key responsibilities

• Embed risk management into planning and decision‑making across the office and all WFP operations.
• Monitor key risk‑appetite metrics and risk indicators, regularly update risk registers, and track progress on mitigation actions.
• Collect feedback and data on risk performance and propose new implementation approaches.
• Support the application of controls and compliance measures in line with WFP policies.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in risk management and compliance within an international or humanitarian context.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
