Technical Director – Farm Operations

About the role

The Technical Director will lead the performance, reliability and standardisation of all farm workshops across GoCongo. This senior position ensures best‑in‑class technical service delivery, strict adherence to SOPs and continuous improvement of equipment availability.

Key responsibilities

• Define, enforce and continuously improve SOPs for maintenance, repair, diagnostics and spare‑parts management.
• Oversee all workshops, including mechanics, spare‑parts inventory and equipment such as tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, trucks and support tools.
• Maintain high machine uptime through preventive maintenance and optimise utilisation and operational efficiency.
• Standardise spare‑parts lists, set minimum stock levels and manage stock rotation.
• Conduct regular workshop audits, implement corrective actions and define machine‑replacement strategies based on cost and performance.
• Train operators and technicians to minimise misuse and equipment breakdowns.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing heavy equipment or multi‑site workshops.
• Strong leadership abilities and operational discipline.
