Technical Project Manager – Perennial Malaria Chemoprevention

About the role

PATH is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the pilot implementation of Perennial Malaria Chemoprevention (formerly IPTi) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role is funded by GiveWell and will work closely with the Study Lead, program administrators, and a multidisciplinary technical team to ensure successful delivery of project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage work plans and donor deliverables, coordinating with technical teams and project directors to meet deadlines and obtain approvals.
• Understand and support the research methods and objectives of the GiveWell‑PMC project.
• Organize and facilitate team meetings, set agendas, and highlight risks, challenges, and opportunities for stakeholders.
• Provide technical assistance on stock management and transportation of Pyrimethamine/Sulfadoxine‑SP, ensuring proper conservation.
• Coordinate with supply‑chain focal points at national and provincial levels to secure safe storage and distribution of drugs.
• Support provincial teams in tracking commodities, analyzing logistics, and ensuring timely deployment to health facilities.

Required profile

• Background or strong interest in global health, preferably with experience in malaria or neglected tropical diseases.
• Highly motivated, hard‑working, and exceptionally organized.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies and donors.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of malaria chemoprevention interventions.
• Understanding of supply‑chain and logistics management for health commodities.
• Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams and managing project deliverables.
