Country Manager – Mining Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Country Manager to lead and optimise our mining operations across the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This senior position combines financial oversight, logistics coordination, and operational management to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead clearing, logistics and finance functions country‑wide.
• Own P&L, reporting, forecasting and ensure compliance with tax and group financial procedures.
• Supervise finance and operational teams, maintaining strong governance and performance standards.
• Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support strategic decisions.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive cost optimisation and process improvements.
• Oversee fleet and workshop operations, targeting at least 90% equipment availability.
• Manage asset tracking, maintenance planning and overall operational efficiency.
• Support business development and identify new growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in mining and logistics environments.
• Proven experience working in the DRC or similar remote sites.
• Strong financial acumen with expertise in analysis, forecasting and reporting.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Hands‑on, operationally focused mindset with excellent analytical and strategic thinking.

Required skills

• ERP systems experience (SAP, Sage).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
