Head of Programs (Goma)

About the role

The Head of Programs in Goma will lead the implementation and coordination of humanitarian programmes across multiple operational sites. Reporting to the senior manager, you will ensure that projects meet quality standards, respond to evolving needs, and align with the organization’s integrated approach.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee programme implementation on all sites, ensuring compliance with technical standards and timelines.
• Supervise national and international programme staff, providing guidance and performance management.
• Represent the organisation with partners, authorities and local actors on all programme‑related matters.
• Centralise and disseminate information, consolidate internal and external reporting, and submit reports to the immediate supervisor.
• Participate in strategy development, propose new interventions based on field assessments, and adapt projects to the changing humanitarian context in North Kivu.
• Coordinate with the technical coordination department (medical, nutrition, protection, MEAL) to guarantee quality of activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in project management, international development or a related field.
• Extensive experience in managing humanitarian programmes, preferably in the DRC or similar contexts.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and work with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to assess evolving humanitarian needs and adapt programmes accordingly.
