IT Network Administrator

About the role

The IT Network Administrator is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, monitoring and security of the company’s network infrastructure across the country. The role ensures high availability, performance and compliance of all networking devices and supports users in line with IT policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily network operations, incident resolution and break/fix requests.
• Install, configure, maintain and monitor switches, routers, firewalls and other network appliances.
• Perform network performance monitoring (availability, utilization, latency) and conduct health checks.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, GDPR and Vodafone Group IT policies.
• Execute patching, hardening, vulnerability remediation and automated deployments.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, network performance and incident logs.
• Support users, communicate IT policies and drive user compliance.
• Participate in business continuity, capacity management and change/release processes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience managing network devices at a national scale.
• Familiarity with IT service management processes (incident, change, capacity).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and data‑privacy requirements (GDPR).

Required skills

• Routing and switching protocols: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP.
• Firewall protection, IPS/IDS, traffic filtering and anti‑virus solutions.
• VPN technologies: IPsec, SSL and remote access.
• Network monitoring, performance analysis and troubleshooting.
• Patch management, vulnerability remediation and hardening.
• Asset discovery, inventory and authentication.
• Incident, problem and change management.
• Capacity planning and resilience design.
