Logistics and Supply Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics and Supply Coordinator will design and execute logistics and supply strategies for MAGNA’s medical humanitarian missions in Kinshasa. Working closely with program teams, the coordinator ensures that all logistical operations support the delivery of health services in conflict‑affected and disaster‑prone areas.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and monitor logistics and supply plans aligned with MAGNA standards and mission objectives.
• Oversee construction, rehabilitation, stock management, transport, communications, water & sanitation, vehicle fleet, and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in annual budgeting and action‑plan development for logistics activities.
• Ensure HR processes – recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and staff development – are applied to logistics personnel.
• Maintain IT infrastructure, software backups and communication equipment.
• Develop and enforce risk‑reduction, security, evacuation and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor daily security compliance and report issues to the head of mission.
• Represent MAGNA in meetings with authorities, NGOs and partners on logistics and supply matters.
• Prepare regular reports on logistics performance and challenges.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating logistics and supply operations, preferably in humanitarian or medical contexts.
• Strong understanding of logistics standards, risk management and security protocols.
• Ability to manage HR functions for logistics staff, including recruitment and training.
• Competence in overseeing IT and communication equipment maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills for representation and reporting.
