Non-Surgical Care Coordinator

About the role

The Non‑Surgical Care Coordinator oversees nutrition, speech, and psychosocial care programs across multiple sites in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role ensures that patients receive timely pre‑ and post‑operative support, manages resources, and facilitates smooth community reintegration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the DRC Nutrition, Speech, and Psychosocial Care programs, ensuring effective implementation.
• Manage assessment and follow‑up processes for nutrition and speech patients.
• Maintain a comprehensive patient database on RedCap, updating records for each province.
• Coordinate human, logistical, and financial resources with Education, Volunteer, Procurement, and Program Management teams.
• Conduct fact‑finding trips, verify resource availability, and secure necessary agreements with ministries, hospitals, and government officials.
• Obtain temporary medical licenses for international volunteers when required.
• Communicate with stakeholders before, during, and after activities via calls, emails, and reports.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating health‑related programs, preferably in low‑resource settings.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English and local languages.
• Ability to travel within the DRC for assessment trips.

Required skills

• Proficiency with RedCap for data management.
