Senior Mechanical Foreman

About the role

The Kipushi Project is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Foreman to lead maintenance activities for underground mining equipment. You will ensure the reliability and availability of critical plant and infrastructure, supporting safe and efficient shaft operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise artisans and specialist technicians in preventive and corrective maintenance of pumps, conveyors, crushers, winders, vent fans, CAF plant and electrical reticulation.
• Plan, schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks to meet production targets and safety standards.
• Monitor equipment performance, respond to breakdowns, and coordinate repairs.
• Manage contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with quality and governance requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent artisan qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical systems maintenance, preferably in a mining environment.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience overseeing maintenance teams.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Swahili, French or Mandarin is advantageous.
