Superintendent II Procurement and Sourcing

About the role

The Superintendent II Procurement and Sourcing will lead the procurement function for the Kamoa Copper Mine, ensuring that goods and services are sourced quickly, cost‑effectively and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Superintendent III, this position acts as the second‑in‑command and oversees both operational and local procurement as well as contract management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for all mine‑related products and services.
• Oversee supplier relationships, contract negotiations and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement, problem solving and stakeholder optimisation across the value chain.
• Lead a team of Superintendents, fostering an inclusive and high‑performance work environment.
• Execute budgetary responsibilities in line with the Delegation of Authority Matrix.
• Support transformation initiatives and embed HSEQ principles throughout procurement activities.
• Ensure accurate reporting and governance for the procurement area.

Required profile

• Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of logistics or international sourcing experience in a mining environment.
• At least 4 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Fluent business English; French and Swahili are strong assets.

Required skills

• ERP supply‑chain and inventory‑management systems.
• Sourcing and negotiation expertise.
• International settlement finance knowledge.
• Technical product knowledge specific to mining and manufacturing.
• Incoterms and related trade terms.
• Understanding of the full supply‑chain value chain.
• Familiarity with mining legislation, including the Mining Code.
• Process planning, demand management and forecasting capabilities.
