Agent Operations Regional Lead

About the role

Wave is looking for a Regional Lead to head its Agent Operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reporting to the Agent Ops Lead, you will manage the acquisition, activation and performance of the agent network across Kinshasa, Kongo Central and Bandundu, ensuring compliance, liquidity and customer service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new agents in line with selection criteria, coordinating with Agent Openers.
• Oversee contract compliance, ensuring agents sign valid contracts and receive proper training on KYC, AML/CTF and product procedures.
• Manage agent activation, certification, supply delivery and outlet branding.
• Monitor cash and e‑value liquidity at agents in partnership with Liquidity and Quality teams.
• Track agent performance, conduct routine visits, and produce reports on regional targets.
• Handle agent churn by coordinating closures, recovering equipment and removing branding.
• Serve as the primary contact for all agency network operations, driving operational excellence and cost management.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience managing an agent network in the DRC, with at least 2 years leading field‑based teams.
• Hands‑on experience in up‑country agent operations and liquidity management.
