Airport Manager – Kinshasa

About the role

Join Etihad Airways as an Airport Manager in Kinshasa, leading airport operations and ensuring safety, security, and service excellence. You will be responsible for directing daily activities, managing performance, and upholding regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee passenger and aircraft handling operations, ensuring compliance with checklists, brand requirements, company policies, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in daily operations, working shifts that may include weekends and public holidays.
• Manage safety and security outcomes through promotion, hazard identification, risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
• Ensure flight editing and special guest requirements (VIP/MAAS, PRM, special categories) are met.
• Deliver, maintain, and rehearse emergency response plans, disruption planning, diversion/delay handling, and business continuity procedures.
• Accountable for on‑time performance, including delay mitigation, accurate reporting, and follow‑up.
• Drive airport ancillary sales performance, promotion, coordination, and compliance monitoring.
• Promote and monitor customer‑service standards, measuring performance against KPIs.
• Act as the Local Security Contact Officer.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education (A‑level or baccalaureate equivalent) or relevant industry experience.
• Minimum 7‑9 years of leadership or senior management experience with exposure to global business best practices.
• Experience in a high‑pressure, multicultural shift environment.
• Proven ability to lead, drive results, and communicate across multiple channels.
• Previous regional or international exposure is highly advantageous.
