Supply Associate (6‑month contract) – Ebola Response, DRC

About the role

Under the supervision of the Supply Officer, the Supply Associate performs highly skilled procurement and supply work in support of the Ebola emergency response, managing complex procurement and contracting cases and client requests. Working with a high degree of operational independence, the incumbent leads end‑to‑end procurement processes and contributes to the design of improved supply services, while potentially supervising lower‑level staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement and contracting activities for emergency supplies.
• Manage procurement services and supply financing where applicable.
• Support localisation and emergency preparedness initiatives.
• Maintain information, data management and reporting on supply activities.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education with at least six years of relevant administrative experience in logistics, warehousing, transport or supply chain management; a bachelor’s or master’s degree may substitute part of the experience.
• Demonstrated ability to apply UNICEF or comparable logistics and supply rules to complex cases, with experience in humanitarian or public‑health emergencies, preferably Ebola response in the DRC.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of another UN language is desirable.

Required skills

• ERP systems – VISION/SAP supply and logistics modules.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• CIPS certification or equivalent procurement qualifications.
