Supply Associate (Temporary, 6 months) – UNICEF, Bunia, DRC

About the role

Under the supervision of the Supply Officer, the Supply Associate will support UNICEF’s emergency response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role involves managing complex procurement and contracting cases, leading end‑to‑end procurement processes and, where needed, supervising junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement and contracting activities for emergency supplies.
• Manage procurement services and supply financing where applicable.
• Support localisation and emergency preparedness initiatives.
• Maintain information, data management and reporting on supply activities.

Required profile

• Secondary education plus at least six years of relevant experience in logistics, warehousing, transport or supply chain management; a bachelor’s or master’s degree may substitute part of the experience.
• Demonstrated ability to apply UNICEF or comparable logistics and supply rules to complex cases, with experience using ERP systems (VISION/SAP) and MS Office.
• Experience in humanitarian or public‑health emergency settings, preferably supporting Ebola or similar outbreaks in fragile contexts.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of an additional UN language is desirable.
