Supply Associate – Temporary (6 months) – Bunia, DRC

About the role

Under the supervision of the Supply Officer, the Supply Associate will lead end‑to‑end procurement and contracting activities to support UNICEF’s Ebola emergency response in Bunia. The position requires high operational independence, handling complex cases and contributing to improved supply services.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement and contracting processes.
• Manage procurement services and supply financing where applicable.
• Support localisation and emergency preparedness activities.
• Maintain information, data management and reporting on supply activities.

Required profile

• Secondary education plus at least six years of relevant logistics, warehousing, transport or supply chain experience (a bachelor’s degree can replace three years, a master’s can replace two additional years).
• Demonstrated experience applying UNICEF or comparable logistics and supply rules in complex humanitarian or public‑health emergencies, preferably in the DRC.
• Fluency in French is required; knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
• Experience working with government, UN agencies, clusters and implementing partners in insecure or hard‑to‑reach areas.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically SAP VISION and SAP logistics modules.
• Strong command of MS Office tools.
• CIPS certification or equivalent procurement qualifications (highly desirable).
