Applications Specialist – MIS & Qlik Sense

About the role

The Applications Specialist for MIS and Qlik Sense is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of two critical business applications. You will ensure high availability, performance, and compliance while providing second‑level support to internal users and coordinating with external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall application availability and health checks, monitoring performance against defined KPIs.
• Prioritise functionality and service quality for the internal MIS platform in line with SLA and QoS agreements.
• Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) with application suppliers, enforcing contractual deliverables.
• Perform daily checks of Qlik Sense jobs and DataMarts, detect issues, and drive remediation.
• Engage weekly with Qlik Sense providers to validate performance metrics and trigger corrective actions.
• Manage incidents, changes, configurations, and problems following ITIL processes, including root‑cause analysis and reporting.
• Document evidence of incident handling and ensure GDPR and cybersecurity compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing enterprise‑level business applications, preferably MIS and Qlik Sense.
• Strong understanding of ITIL service management practices.
• Ability to work with suppliers, negotiate SLA terms, and drive performance improvements.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess system health, performance data, and incident impact.
