Assistant Accountant

About the role

Epiroc is looking for a detail‑oriented Assistant Accountant to join its Customer Center team in Lubumbashi. You will support daily financial operations, ensure accurate record‑keeping, and collaborate closely with the Business Controller and Company Accountant.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile staff and vendor accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
• Process payment requisitions and record import duty transactions.
• Capture and post bank statement transactions, including deposits and debits.
• Perform monthly bank, credit‑card and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Manage customs duty payments and reconciliations.
• Support travel‑fund administration and other finance‑related tasks as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Excellent planning, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and accountability.
• Fluency in English and strong interpersonal skills.
