English Second Language Teacher – Full‑time, Kinshasa

About the role

United Friends' College is seeking a full‑time English Second Language Teacher to join its on‑site team in Kinshasa. You will deliver engaging, learner‑centered English lessons to students of varying ages and proficiency levels.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver communicative English lessons using diverse teaching methods.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom activities.
• Conduct individual, small‑group, and whole‑class instruction.
• Assign, grade, and provide feedback on assessments and exams.
• Monitor student progress, maintain attendance and achievement records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align with the school’s curriculum and standards, and contribute to new teaching resources.

Required profile

• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics or related field.
• TEFL, TESOL, CELTA or equivalent teaching certification preferred.
• Experience or willingness to prepare learners for international exams such as IELTS.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
