Finance Superintendent – ARK Expansion Project

About the role

The Finance Superintendent will lead financial management, capital cost control, forecasting and reporting for the ARK Expansion Project during its feasibility study phase. This senior position ensures robust governance over capital expenditure and provides accurate financial insight to support project decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage capital finance, budgeting, cost control and reporting processes for the ARK feasibility study.
• Establish and continuously improve the cost control framework, including cost coding, commitments, accruals, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting.
• Support development, validation and governance of capital cost estimates, ensuring assumptions align with scope, schedule and procurement strategy.
• Monitor actual and forecast capital expenditure against approved budgets and provide early visibility of cost risks, trends and opportunities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc capital cost, cash‑flow, forecast‑at‑completion and management reports.
• Review reporting deliverables for accuracy, completeness and consistency before final sign‑off.
• Provide financial input into stage‑gate submissions, investment approval documentation and project steering committee materials.
• Support updates to the mine business plan, life‑of‑mine assumptions and project economic inputs.
• Collaborate with Project Controls, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Finance/Admin and project managers for integrated reporting.
• Analyse cost reports to identify variances, risks and corrective actions.
• Support cash‑flow management, funding forecasts and capital phasing requirements.
• Identify and promote cost‑optimisation opportunities, including procurement efficiencies and shared services.
