KfW Program Coordinator

About the role

The KfW Program Coordinator will lead the implementation and reporting of a wildlife conservation program funded by KfW in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. This senior position requires close collaboration with protected‑area teams, donors, and multiple stakeholders to ensure high‑quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and timely submission of technical performance reports to KfW, meeting all reporting requirements.
• Establish and maintain knowledge‑management processes to archive program documents, donor communications, and implementation evidence.
• Work with protected‑area management teams to create communication content for stakeholders and media.
• Act as the primary liaison between KfW and WCS for all contractual and technical matters in eastern DRC.
• Represent WCS at conferences, working groups, and external stakeholder meetings as needed.
• Keep internal WCS teams regularly informed about program activities, deliverables, and events.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in wildlife conservation and program management.
• At least ten years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience managing donor‑funded projects with multiple partners, especially KfW‑funded initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to meet project targets under tight deadlines.
• High‑level competence in drafting and editing technical reports and other written products.
• Experience collaborating with local NGOs, government representatives, and donors.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary, multicultural teams and manage several major activities simultaneously.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in French, working proficiency in English, Swahili a plus.
• Willingness and ability to live and work in challenging field conditions.
