Medical Coordinator – Humanitarian Mission

About the role

The Medical Coordinator will lead the medical component of the MAGNA mission, working closely with the Head of Mission, program managers and other coordinators to ensure high‑quality health services for the target population.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise medical project coordinators and ensure the relevance and quality of care across all MAGNA projects.
• Define data‑collection methods, select medical indicators and gather health data from field activities.
• Analyse collected data, produce reports on health trends, evaluate performance of interventions and propose adaptations and budgets.
• Organise the implementation of medical activities, oversee the use and maintenance of diagnostic, clinical and therapeutic equipment, and manage the project pharmacy.
• Lead recruitment, composition and training of medical teams, validate skill profiles and make final hiring decisions.
• Represent the organisation to national authorities, NGOs, UN agencies and other partners, and coordinate responses to medical emergencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months experience in humanitarian aid, medical or paramedical roles, preferably in public health, epidemiology or tropical medicine.
• Experience with infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, refugee health or disaster medicine.
• Ability to work in multicultural teams and to negotiate with national and international stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in the mission language is required.
