Programme Analyst, Sexual and Reproductive Health

About the role

The Programme Analyst on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) is based in the UNFPA Democratic Republic of Congo Country Office in Goma. Reporting to the Programme Specialist SRH in Emergencies, the analyst contributes to the design, implementation and evaluation of UNFPA’s SRH interventions across development and humanitarian settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical expertise for SRH programme design, implementation and monitoring.
• Analyse political, social and economic dynamics to generate evidence‑based insights that shape project strategies and policy frameworks.
• Lead results‑based management (RBM) and monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance with UNFPA standards.
• Contribute substantive inputs to project formulation, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks.
• Operationalise robust evaluation mechanisms across provincial and national levels.
• Build sustainable capacity within partners and drive high‑impact health outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience in sexual and reproductive health programmes, preferably in emergency or humanitarian contexts.
• Strong knowledge of UNFPA mandates, the ICPD Programme of Action and Sustainable Development Goals.
• Ability to analyse complex political, social and economic environments.
• Proven experience with results‑based management and monitoring & evaluation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
