Project Coordinator – School Infrastructure & WASH (12‑month consultancy)

About the role

The Project Coordinator will lead day‑to‑day coordination, monitoring and reporting of school construction and WASH infrastructure activities under the PAAF programme. Based in Kinshasa with field missions, the role ensures that works are delivered on time, within design specifications and in line with UNICEF standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor implementation of school and WASH infrastructure projects.
• Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, contractual terms, and environmental and social safeguards.
• Facilitate communication among multi‑stakeholder teams and manage high‑visibility project elements.
• Support timely delivery of works according to project timelines.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Hydraulics, Sanitary Engineering or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent training is a strong asset.
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing large‑scale infrastructure projects, preferably in education, WASH or social infrastructure sectors.
• Proven experience handling complex, multi‑stakeholder, high‑visibility projects.
