Senior Program Manager – MNCH & Protection

About the role

The Senior Program Manager will lead IMA World Health’s integrated Maternal, Newborn, Child Health (MNCH) and Protection program in conflict‑affected North Kivu. Reporting to senior leadership, the role provides strategic direction, operational oversight, and high‑level representation with government, donors, and humanitarian coordination bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, vision and integrated planning for MNCH and Protection across six facilities and multiple IDP sites.
• Oversee technical implementation of BEmONC, CMR, PSS, IPC, safe‑space, outreach and referral‑network interventions.
• Supervise the Technical Program Manager, MERL Manager, MNCH and Protection Officers, finance and operations staff.
• Ensure compliance with national guidelines, donor regulations and IMA’s global standards.
• Collaborate with the MERL Manager to track indicators, ensure data quality and use findings for adaptive management.
• Represent IMA with MoH provincial divisions, health‑zone leadership, and cluster partners; facilitate joint supervision visits.
• Lead preparation of regular reports, success stories and evidence‑based narratives for donors.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing large‑scale MNCH and Protection programs in humanitarian settings.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with government and donor stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of national health guidelines, protection standards and humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
