Supply Associate (Temporary, 6 months)

About the role

The Supply Associate will support UNICEF’s emergency response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Working from Bunia, the role focuses on procurement and supply activities that ensure essential goods reach affected communities quickly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes for emergency supplies, including sourcing, contracting and delivery.
• Handle complex procurement and contracting cases, evaluating challenging situations and adapting procedures as needed.
• Respond to client requests and coordinate with national and UN partners to ensure timely supply of goods.
• Contribute to the design and improvement of supply services and delivery mechanisms.
• Supervise lower‑level staff where required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in humanitarian or emergency contexts.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of operational autonomy.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex situations and adapt procedures.
