Supply Officer (6‑month TA) – Bunia, DRC

About the role

The Supply Officer will support UNICEF’s WASH/IPC response to the Ebola outbreak in Bunia, DRC. Reporting to the Supply and Logistics Specialist, the role manages the full logistics chain for a small country office, ensuring timely procurement, customs clearance, warehousing and distribution of essential supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute in‑country procurement, contracting and customs clearance for emergency supplies.
• Manage warehousing, transport and distribution to health zones and program sites.
• Monitor supply services and performance indicators.
• Provide technical and advisory support to government and national systems.
• Collaborate with programme teams and implementing partners to align supply interventions with program needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or related field.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience in supply, logistics or procurement in humanitarian or public‑health emergencies.
• Experience supporting outbreak or emergency response, preferably in the DRC or similar fragile contexts.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of an additional UN language is a plus.
• CIPS certification (Level 2 or 3) is an asset.
