Travel Coordinator (Senior Level)

About the role

The Church is seeking a senior‑level Travel Coordinator to manage travel arrangements for employees, missionaries, General Authorities and other representatives worldwide. This role ensures travel is planned efficiently, cost‑effectively, and in compliance with visa and documentation requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and book travel itineraries using the most cost‑efficient options, including air, rail, rental car, and hotel.
• Secure necessary visas and verify travel documents for accuracy.
• Prepare detailed itineraries and provide travelers with relevant restrictions and information.
• Handle invoicing, payment processing, and billing in line with accounting guidelines.
• Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate special events such as mission president seminars and area council meetings.
• Assist and train junior travel coordinators and take on special projects as assigned.
• Communicate regularly with consulates and arrange personal visits when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of travel industry experience; experience in Church travel services preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and ability to resolve complex travel issues.
• Ability to work efficiently under a large workload and support after‑hours calls.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
