Volunteer Digital Transformation & Data Management for Wildlife Protection

About the role

Conserve Congo is seeking a remote volunteer to lead its digital transformation and strengthen data management systems that support wildlife protection in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role offers the chance to apply technical expertise to real‑world conservation challenges while working with a locally‑led organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain databases that store investigation and operational records.
• Digitize field‑collected data and create workflows for efficient data entry and retrieval.
• Organize, clean, and visualise data to support reporting and decision‑making.
• Develop or improve digital tools used by field teams, such as mobile data collection apps or dashboards.
• Provide training and support to staff on new digital solutions.

Required profile

• Strong interest in conservation and experience working with NGOs or similar organisations.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Good communication skills in English.
