Accountant – Beni, DR Congo

About the role

Bridgeway Foundation DRC is looking for a full‑time Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations in its Beni office. The role supports the Chief Financial Officer and ensures accurate financial reporting, cash management, and compliance with local tax and grant requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process electronic grant and vendor payments, manage petty cash and weekly reconciliations.
• Handle staff travel expenses, advances, reimbursements and local payroll in compliance with tax regulations.
• Prepare weekly cash‑flow reports, monthly financial statements and annual budgets.
• Review grantee expense reports, conduct financial risk assessments and support audits.
• Update policies, contracts, procure office and project supplies, maintain filing systems and vehicle maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience with cash management, bank reconciliation, payroll processing and grant administration.
• Ability to work independently and support cross‑functional teams.
